Republican Jesus Teaches Us To Be Strong on Capital Punishment
WHO SUPPORTS THE DEATH PENALTY?

Since 1936, Gallup has been asking Americans, “Are you in favor of the death penalty for a person convicted of murder?” The percentage of Americans in favor of the death penalty has fluctuated significantly over the years, ranging from a low of 42% in 1966, during a revival of the anti-death penalty movement, to a high of 80% in 1994. More recently, public opinion on the death penalty has been more stable, with upward of two in three Americans supporting it.
Gallup has asked Americans this question at least twice a year since 2001. To examine responses to this question more closely, Gallup combined the results of the nine surveys that asked this question from 2001 through 2004 on a year-by-year basis*. Overall, the data show that 67% of Americans supported the death penalty for convicted murderers in 2001. This percentage increased slightly to 71% in 2002, before dropping back to 67% in 2003. Results for this year show essentially no change since last year.

Are Newt Gingrich and Dwight Schrute The Same?
SCRANTON – New photos have surfaced which seem to link former U.S. Speaker of The House, Newt Gingrich, with noteable Dunder Mifflin paper salesman, Dwight Schrute, leaving some to speculate not only whether the two are possibly related, but are they, in fact, one and the same.
To further complicate the issue, some are suggesting that Schrute and/or his apparent genetic counterpart may not be human at all.
According to Robot-Watch, a New Mexico-based group whose stated purpose is to look for non-humans that are attempting to integrate themselves into the general human population, both Gingrich and Schrute exhibit classic robot mannerisms and behavior.
“There’s no doubt about it”, declared Tom Barney, Silver City resident and press agent for the controversial group. “He’s a robot and he knows it. Everybody knows it!”
When asked which of the two to which Barney was referring, the Robot-Watch member threw his arms into the air and replied, “Both of ‘em dammit! They’re the same, don’t you see?”
“Just notice the way Newt and Dwight act so weird anytime a human talks to them”, Barney continued, further calling attention to the former Speaker’s “fake hair and non-human posture and concocted laugh”.

I posted this photo on facebook yesterday and had no idea the firestorm that I was about to cause. The first thing to happen was a reply from my mother that read, “not even cute (sad face)”.
I responded by saying, “it’s not meant to be cute. Jesus said that we should give everything we have to the poor. For some reason, the Republicans have this idea that being conservative and Christian means that we should not help pay for food stamps, college tuition, and housing to those who are poor. If Republicans really are the Christians they claim to be, they should be willing to pay more taxes and support more government programs to help those who are less fortunate.”
From there it went moderately viral, with more than 3,000 words of content by multiple participants ranging from ultra right-wing conservatives to atheists and agnostics.
The really cool part?? Nobody lost their cool. We had a great conversation about religion and politics while remaining respectful and balanced. I hope to have more discussions just like that.
Textbooks Say ‘Muslims Discovered America’
Saudi-funded textbooks being used in America’s K-12 classrooms.
Are American public schools so strapped for cash that they’ve now resorted to purchasing textbooks that are subsidized by Saudi Arabian financiers?
The Saudi government has donated millions in order to influence the things that American students are taught.
The books contain teachings such as the state of Israel never existed, Muslims discovered America before Columbus arrived from Europe, and that Jesus was a Palestinian. Some education experts say that if the practice doesn’t stop, American school children will end up being taught from actual Saudi grade school textbooks, complete with jihadi instructions.
