From Almost Heaven:
Cat Locks Owner Out of Her Car
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - No kidding. We've all locked ourselves out of our car from time to time, but one West Virginia woman can lay claim to something few of us can. She was locked out of her own car by her own cat.
Seriously. Jeanna Stewart of Morgantown said that while she was getting a spare house key out her car's trunk on Monday, her cat (appropriately named Mork) stepped on the car's automatic door lock. Having left her car keys on the driver's seat, Stewart was then unable to unlock the door.
"He wouldn't unlock the door for me," Stewart was quoted as saying on Tuesday. "He was standing there, saying why aren't you opening the door? I want to go inside."
Stewart then went into her house and called the local Fire Department, who came to rescue Mork and two other cats (Miday and Alex) from the locked vehicle.
"They rescued my three little kitties," Stewart said. "I didn't need a rescue for me, just for them."
